Waukegan Park District has its Annual Eggstravaganza at Belvidere Park

Although incredibly frightened, Edwin Lopez, 2 of Waukegan, manages to meet the Easter bunny face to face for the first time.

Ivie Gottlieb, 2 of Lake Forest, baffled by the presence of this mime, unable to think rationally, she tries to ignore everything until the moment is over.

People lined up here in the 5 and 6 year old age group, waiting nervously for the air horn "go" sound.  (Mark Ukena/Sun-Times Media)

The scattered eggs are colorful and pretty this year, multiple sections are closed off for the different age groups, making it more fair for everyone to have fun.  (Mark Ukena/Sun-Times Media)

People are lined up and spread out, here in the 4 year old section, as the count down to start diminishes rapidly.  (Mark Ukena/Sun-Times Media)

Jeremiah Bustamante, age 4 of Waukegan gathers eggs as quickly as possible during the easter egg hunt.  (Mark Ukena/Sun-Times Media)

Adults are prohibited to grab eggs during the Hunt, because it has been deemed unfair for the other children, but apparently they do whatever they please.  (Mark Ukena/Sun-Times Media)
